Love Island’s Olivia Attwood hits WAGS indicating they lack self-esteem

Reality TV star Olivia Attwood has lashed out at footballers’ wives and girlfriends, hinting that she thinks they lack ambition and self-respect.

In fact, the former Love Island contestant, 31, was a WAG when she became engaged to Blackburn Rovers midfielder Bradley Dack, 28.

But Olivia insists she won’t just be the one on the sidelines cheering for her daughter-in-law while holding her latest designer handbag.

She says she is focused on building an impressive career of her own and says she wants to keep herself busy to ‘respect’ herself in her relationship.

She told The Sun on Sunday: “People always assume I’m happy being a Wag but that’s not enough for me.

“I would climb the wall in a week if I were just a Wag. I have to be busy and have my own business. That preserves the respect in our relationship.”

Indeed, Olivia – who was a contestant on Love Island in 2017 where she finished second alongside ex-boyfriend Chris Hughes – has bolstered her own CV by becoming an investigative journalist.

She will soon appear in a documentary about OnlyFans performers that will be broadcast on ITV.

“I’m on my own terms and I’m excited about the future,” she explains.

Meanwhile, Love Island fans won’t have too much time left to wait for the hit series to return to ITV2 on Monday, June 6.

The upcoming eighth season of the romantic reality show has been heavily touted – with the series taking aim at other rival shows.

An advertisement stated: “Love Island is a compilation of dating shows and after 7 years of matchmaking, marriage and childbirth – for 8 weeks this summer, we officially own love. Because. So, reject all those who pretend – Love is ours.”

And in a short teaser, Love Island poked fun at rival shows Naked Attraction, Celebs Go Dating and Ex On The Beach.

The image shows a TV screen with the headline “Nude Celebrities Dating on the Beach.”

The TV was quickly crushed by a trainer with a pink heart as the words “LOVE” stood between the show’s iconic pool stage and a flag fluttering with the words “WE OWN .”

Another teaser shows arranged stories that can inflate the spelling of “THE OGS OF LOVE” as two nude people kiss.

While fans of the winter version of the show should brace themselves for the series’ return in early 2023 after a three-year absence.

So far only one version of the show – those in South Africa – has aired, with Finn Tapp and Paige Turley taking the show’s first and so far only wins in 2020.

A source stated last week: “Love Island bosses enjoyed the single Winter Love Island series, but it only took place before the pandemic raged so it has been rescheduled for 2021.

“When they started casting for this summer series, they thought there was definitely enough talent to do the second series so they started planning for Love Island Winter 2023.

“Overall, this series is really important to them because it appeals to an important young audience, so if they can get a second series in a year people will be very excited.” insider added.
