Lucky Bridgerton fans have a chance to win a “Golden Ticket” to the world premiere of season 2 of Regency romp in London.
Netflix and Shondaland have invited Manchester fans to a glittering red carpet event as the most anticipated series of the year returns to our screens.
Drama increased when Lady Whistledown’s infamous “Society Papers” was delivered by Regency-era newspaper sellers to commuters in St Ann’s Square, accompanied by a quartet playing the Bridgerton soundtrack.
The newspapers hummed, made famous by their award-winning series, each with a special golden ticket inviting people to sign up for a chance to watch. World Premiere of Bridgerton Part 2, at Tate Modern, London, on March 22.
Just 15 lucky Manchester citizens (plus one guest each) will be crowned the diamond of the season and awarded the most coveted ticket in town.
For those living outside of Manchester, there is no need to worry. The Bridgerton-themed newspapers will be distributed across the UK, showing Birmingham on March 19 and London on March 20 and 21.
The red carpet will also be broadcast live on Netflix’s YouTube channel from 8pm on March 22.
Fans of the show are being asked to keep an eye on Netflix UK social channels, as the exact locations of newspaper distributors for the cities will be revealed there.
In the final minutes of the Season 1 finale, the true identity of the local gossiper, Lady Whistledown, was finally revealed to be none other than Penelope Featherington.
Played by Nicola Coughlan, this is considered one of the most surprising twists of the story to date.
The series has been a resounding global success for Netflix, with Shondaland bringing the adventures of the decadent regency back to help a second time around.
Season 2 follows Anthony Bridgerton, the eldest of the Bridgerton siblings, as he begins his search for a wife.
Anthony, looking for a pair to debut in the social season, crosses paths with the Sharma family – and his subsequent flirting with Edwina Sharma leads to drama, chaos, and more than ever, more smaller stories.
Bridgerton is a romantic, scandalous and clever series that celebrates the timelessness of enduring friendships, families finding their way, and searching for a love that conquers all.
The series was inspired by the novel by Julia Quinn.
