Lucy Mecklenburgh has revealed she and partner Ryan Thomas have finally chosen a name for their newborn daughter – although they have yet to share it with fans.

The reality TV star, 30, gave birth to her second child with actor beau, 38, last month – with the baby said to be more than a week into due date.

The couple are already parents to young son Roman Thomas, two, and Ryan has a daughter – Scarlett Thomas, 13 – from his previous relationship with Tina O’Brien, 38.

And after the birth of her second child, Lucy opened up to fans about the “difficulty” in choosing a name for their new born baby, who is now a few weeks old.

Fans have been waiting for the couple to decide on a name and there’s only one way Essex alum has now provided an update – revealing that the pair have finally chosen one.

She revealed in a Q&A with her followers on Instagram earlier this afternoon that she and Ryan – best known for playing Jason Grimshaw on Corrie – made their choice.

Lucy – who appeared on TOWIE from 2010 to 2013 – however did not reveal the name to her fans, instead teasing that it will be announced in due time.

One follower asked in a recent Q&A: “Have you given her a name yet?” To the question, Lucy replied: “We have!” However, she added: “I’ll post her name later.”

She has yet to share her newborn daughter’s name with her fans on the social media platform, although it doesn’t look like they have long to find out.

Lucy has previously shared about the birth of her second child, telling fans it was “really positive and calm”, and she described it as “quite quick and very special.”

And when asked how she has two young children, Lucy says it can feel like a “military operation,” although she assures that she and partner Ryan “work as a team.”

She explains that she breastfeeds and changes the newborn, while Ryan is usually in charge of bathing, feeding and playing with Roman, who turned two last month.

Fans will have to wait to find out the name of the couple’s newborn daughter, with their choice expected to be revealed by Lucy on her Instagram account some time soon.
