Lynsey Bennett says she “could giggle, laugh and feel cancer-free” in Ibiza with Una Healy.

Lynsey Bennett has openly said she can “giggle, laugh and feel cancer-free” on holiday with friends in Ibiza.

The mother of two, who has terminal cancer, enjoyed a few days in the sun with close friends including Una Healy.

Taking to Instagram today to update on her holiday, Lynsey said she felt like she was healing from visiting the island.

“I got off the plane in Ibiza and I turned to the girls and said I have this completely calm feeling of peace and home that just came over me.”

“On the second day I was pain free…. There was just this sense of healing that I could feel but kept thinking, how?”

“I could giggle and laugh and felt cancer free. It wasn’t until people started the usual holiday chatter and asked what you’re working on that I stopped and remembered my situation,” she continued.

“When we were waiting for the taxi to the airport to go home, Una and Annette said to me: ‘We know that you are not ready to go home and that Ibiza has more to offer you’ … me and Charlene smiled at us because we knew it was true.”

Lynsey said that she usually always goes home when she goes away, but on a whim she decided to extend her stay.

“My gut was telling me, calm down, just text home, sort Zoë and Hailee, and change that flight.”

“The next two days with Charlene were more than I could have hoped for and I was so excited when I started coming across articles about how Ibiza is known for its healing powers because I knew the connections and healing feelings I had on this island were real,” she continued.

The cervical cancer activist shared various screenshots stating that Ibiza is known for its healing properties, thanks not only to its fresh salt water but also to its soil with a high percentage of rose quartz.

“It’s just amazing that I finally walked into a place that had crossed my mind so many years ago, at the right time, and experienced how much more special it is to me than ever before.

“I tried a handful of mocktails, but generally I just drank water with lemon wedges and felt the same as everyone else… It was my version of Ibiza, which was perfect for me.”

“Thank you, thank you, thank you,” she continued.

“I realized this will be my 500th post, which made me smile when I did a google search for what 500 symbolizes. This is about continuing to find ways to continue healing and believing in the future.

“One week until my 34th birthday, that’s really magical.”

Earlier this week, Lynsey shared that the trip was going to be bittersweet.

“Ibiza if my dream comes true… anyone who knows me knows what it means for me to be here…. (I’ve received so many messages in response to my story saying, ‘Lynsey, I’m so happy you can finally go.’)” she said on social media.

The Longford native revealed she was originally set to travel to Ibiza with her pal Georgie, who has sadly passed away.

Lynsey continued: “I cried on the plane just because I thought I’m alive (shady bits and all) and really doing it and thinking back to almost three years when my beautiful friend Georgie booked to come with me to fulfill my dream , but she won her wings stunningly and we haven’t been able to go until now.

“I could feel her smiling next to me and taking in the view. I look forward to writing her name in the sand like in Mexico.”

The gang took time out to visit the island’s famous party hotel, Ibiza Rocks, during their trip, and Lynsey shared a photo of her by the pool in a purple mesh-covered bikini.

In the caption, she reflected on her experience and shared an inspirational quote with her followers, writing, “We all still have many mountains of life to climb, but remembering to stop and take in the views along the journey helps put one foot in front.” remain of the other.”

Una also shared a sunny snap from her girls’ outing, posing with Lynsey and her friends Charlene and Annette as they enjoyed a few drinks by the sea.

“Couldn’t be happier than with this gorgeous bunch,” the singer wrote.
