Madeleine McCann suspect had facial surgery ‘months after her disappearance’ – World News

A new TV investigation believes convicted pedophile Christian Brueckner had his jaw set back and his teeth straightened shortly after Madeleine’s disappearance in 2007

New claims have surfaced that Christian Brueckner has undergone dental surgery "buck teeth"
New claims have surfaced that Christian Brueckner had dental surgeries on “rabbit teeth”.

The prime suspect behind Madeleine McCann’s disappearance has reportedly spent thousands on facial surgeries just months after the boy went missing.

A new TV investigation believes convicted pedophile Christian Brueckner had his jaw set back and his teeth straightened shortly after Madeleine’s disappearance.

He is said to have had his ‘rabbit’ teeth reset in September 2007, four months after the British four-year-old was reportedly kidnapped in Praia da Luz, Portugal.

He has denied any involvement and has not been charged.

Witnesses claimed to have seen a man with buck teeth loitering around the apartment where the McCanns were staying.

He reportedly paid around £7,500 for the surgery at a private dental clinic in his native Germany.

Less than three weeks before Madeleine disappeared, police in Portugal were told that a girl had been subjected to a disgustingly indecent exposure by a man with her front teeth buckling.

According to The Sun, Brueckner traveled to Germany from Lisbon in September 2007 as detectives scramble to find out what happened to the missing toddler.

In his homeland, the 45-year-old sex offender is said to have undergone major work in a private clinic in Würzburg, Bavaria.

The operation usually costs around €9,000 – the equivalent of around £7,500.

On April 9, 2007, a 10-year-old girl was approached by a naked man on a beach in Salema, just seven miles from the apartment from which Madeleine disappeared.

The man is said to have four teeth protruding from his upper jaw and the victim, now 25, reportedly told police he “looked like a rabbit”.

In January 2008, an image created by an FBI-trained artist showing a suspect fitting that description was released.

It is also claimed that Brueckner had been working as a casual laborer at the complex where his McCanns were staying this week – meaning he knew it “inside out”.

Brueckner, who is serving a sentence for raping a woman in Portugal in the 1970s, has denied having anything to do with Madeleine’s disappearance.

The revelations were uncovered by filmmakers Jutta Rabe and Jon Clarke, who are working on a TV documentary about the case.

Mr Clarke has previously written a book called My Search For Madeleine.

German prosecutor Hans Christian Wolters told The Sun he has “everything it takes” to charge Brueckner in the indecent disclosure case and Madeleine’s disappearance.

Authorities told the newspaper that he would “definitely” face further charges in the coming weeks.

The suspect has been linked to the 2017 kidnapping and rape of an Irish tour guide and indecent contact with four children in the Algarve.
