Newcastle United will wear a special one-off Castore shirt, adorned with the Tyneside skyline, during this week’s game against Albion
The Premier League has decided that the Magpies’ three new 2022-23 Castore kits – black and white, navy and white respectively – will all clash too closely with Albion’s blue and white striped home shirt.
Accordingly, Newcastle United have been granted special permission by the Premier League to wear a sky blue kit, which features the silhouette of St James’ Park and several of the city’s landmarks – including the world-famous Tyne Bridge – combined with black shorts and socks.
Representing our city. 🏙️#NUFC will be wearing a special one-off Castore shirt adorned with the Tyneside skyline when we play Brighton at the Amex Stadium on Saturday.

The shirt is normally worn by players on matchday as a pre-match shirt, but will be branded with FUN88, noon.com and Premier League for the trip to the Amex Stadium.
The visit to Newcastle will also mark the first time Dan Burn has returned to Amex following his January move from the club.
Albion received permission to wear their yellow and blue away kit at the Amex last season as a show of support for Ukraine after the country’s invasion by Russia.
