There is no university type to become a CEO

There is no one type of university that also dominates the list. Of the ten universities with the most CEOs worldwide, the list includes traditional liberal arts universities, Ivy League schools, public universities, and schools known for their technology and computer science programs.

The degrees of the Forbes list leaders show that a variety of universities — some household names and others hidden gems — can put you on the path to success in becoming a CEO.

Amy Pritchett, Preply’s Student Success Manager, says:

“The Forbes list of CEOs is arguably among the most influential executives in the world. So we wanted to better understand what this elite group of people have in common and what it takes to get to the top.

We know that many universities offer exceptional educational and business degrees. So we wanted to find out if there are any universities that have a track record of developing strong leadership. When you look at this research, it’s clear that some universities have the right ingredients to produce successful CEOs.” Making a CEO: Which universities have produced the most CEOs?
