Male pedestrian, 70, dies after collision with SUV in Waterford

A pedestrian in his 70s has died in a collision with an SUV in Co Waterford.

The collision happened around 10.15am on Thursday on the N25 in Kinsalebeg, Waterford.

Gardaí and rescue services were alerted and rushed to the crime scene.

The pedestrian was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment for his injuries and subsequently died.

Gardaí appealed to all witnesses to the collision to come forward.

They are also appealing to road users who were traveling on the N25 between Dungarvan and Youghal between 10am and 10.30am on Thursday with camera footage, including dashcam footage, to make it available to them.
