Man, 30, due in court this morning over €1.75million cocaine seizure

A man (30) charged in connection with a €1.75million drug seizure in Dublin over the weekend.

As part of Operation Tara, officials arrested a man in Clondalkin on Friday night.

The arrest was made when officers stopped a vehicle on St Cuthbert’s Road around 5.30pm and searched it and found 25kg of cocaine.

All suspected drugs were sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.

The man, in his 30s, was arrested and detained at Clondalkin Garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

Gardaí have confirmed that the man has since been charged.

“The man will appear in Dublin Criminal Courts (Court.2) this morning, Monday 18 April 2022 at 10.30am,” Gardaí said. Man, 30, due in court this morning over €1.75million cocaine seizure
