Man (50) dies after being beaten by Luas in Dublin

A male pedestrian in his 50s died in Dublin last night after being hit by a Luas tram.

Ardaí and emergency services attended the scene at Broombridge in Cabra just after 1am.

The man’s body was taken from the scene to the city morgue for an autopsy.

A technical examination of the scene was conducted by forensic collision investigators.

Gardaí appeals to any witnesses or road users who may have video footage to make it available to them.
