Man (50) dies in accident at work in Co Cavan

The Health and Safety Agency (HSA) has launched an investigation after a man, 50, died in an accident at work in Co Cavan.

ardaí were called to the scene of the incident at a commercial building on Kells Road in Bailieboro yesterday afternoon.

Gardaí said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene and taken to the Cavan morgue.

“Gardaí was at the scene of a fatal accident at work at a commercial building on Kells Road, Bailieboro, Co. Cavan yesterday afternoon, Thursday 3 November 2022,” a Garda spokesperson said.

“A man in his fifties has been pronounced dead and his body taken to the Cavan morgue. The HSA was at the scene.”

A spokesman for the Health and Safety Agency (HSA) said: “I can confirm that the HSA is aware of this incident and an investigation has been launched as no further information is available at this time.”
