Man (70s) seriously injured after collision in Waterford

A male pedestrian (70 years old) was seriously injured after a road traffic accident involving an off road vehicle in Co Waterford this morning.

At around 10.15 am, Gardaí and emergency services were informed of the collision, which occurred along the N25 near Kinsalebeg.

“The pedestrian, a man in his 70s, was later taken to Cork University Hospital to be treated for what are believed to be serious injuries. No other injuries were reported,” said a spokesman for the Garda.

“Currently, diversions are in place and there will be a technical review tonight.”

Gardaí appealed to all witnesses to the collision to come forward.

They are also appealing to road users who were traveling between 10.00am and 10.30am this morning on the N25 between Dungarvan and Youghal and have camera footage, including dashcams, to make it available to them.
