Man and woman arrested on alleged accommodation fraud in south Dublin

Gardaí have arrested a man and woman in connection with alleged accommodation fraud in South Dublin.

Two flats in Dublin 13 were raided by Gardaí from the Blackrock Detective Unit this morning, Thursday 29 September, as part of an ongoing investigation. The detectives were supported by uniformed units from Blackrock and Raheny Garda stations.

“During the searches, Gardaí seized cash, mobile phones and a number of documents,” said a Gardaí spokesman.

Police said both the man, 30, and woman, 24, were arrested as part of the operation. Both are currently being held at Blackrock Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 and investigations are ongoing.
