Man and woman in hospital after the A259 Bosham crash

A man has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after a man and woman were seriously injured in a car crash.

The 77-year-old woman and 18-year-old man, both from Emsworth, were taken to hospital with serious injuries after two cars collided on Main Road in Bosham.

Police and emergency services were called to the accident around 2 p.m. on Friday.

The 27-year-old man from Chichester was also arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

He has since been released on bail pending investigations. Sussex Police are continuing their investigation to determine how the crash happened.

They are also looking for witnesses to the crash as part of their investigation.
