Man arrested after £1,000 damage at St Leonard’s cafe

A MAN has been arrested after £1,000 damage was caused to a seaside cafe.

Police were called to the breakfast area in London Road, St Leonards, at around 10.40am on Monday 11 July.

Officers arrived to find a man had entered the cafe, abusively treated staff and customers and caused about £1,000 worth of damage to the door, crockery and supplies.

The man was found and arrested by officers a short time later.

He was released on bail while the investigation continues.

The police are looking for witnesses to the incident.
