Man arrested after Gardaí seized €600,000 worth of drugs in Dublin

A man has been arrested in connection with the discovery of a large quantity of drugs in Co Dublin.

Ardaí seized around €600,000 worth of suspected cannabis in a search operation in the Rathcoole area today, December 16th.

“During the search operation conducted by Gardaí of the Garda National Drugs and Organized Crime Bureau and the Special Crime Task Force as a result of ongoing investigations into organized crime activity, Gardaí seized approximately 30 kg of suspected herbal cannabis with an estimated value of 600,000 euros,” a said garda spokesman.

“A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene and is currently being held at Clondalkin Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.”

Gardaí said the drugs seized were now being sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis and that investigations were ongoing. Man arrested after Gardaí seized €600,000 worth of drugs in Dublin
