A man has been arrested after a collision between a car and a truck that saw machinery fall from a trailer.
The accident happened around 8pm last night on Lewes Road, near Blackboys, east of Uckfield.
Agricultural machinery fell off the truck and can be seen on the road.
The driver of the car was taken to the hospital with serious injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “Police were arrested on Monday 12th April.
“Both vehicles were recovered and the road was later reopened.
“A 30-year-old man from Crowborough was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving and has since been released under investigation while investigations continue.
“Anyone with relevant information or footage of the collision can email Collision.firstname.lastname@example.org citing Operation Blackstone.”
Farming equipment is a “Terradisc,” a type of harrow attached to tractors used to till fields.
The road was reopened around 4 p.m. today.
