Australian fights kangaroo and pins it to the ground

A man hit his body on a kangaroo after it attacked him.

Video footage captured with a CCTV video camera shows the animal chasing after the victim in New South Wales, Australia, as it runs to escape the marsupial.

After chasing him, the animal made him fall and the pair fought it in a violent brawl, both looking battered.

A dog barking can be heard behind the man behind the man trying to protect its owner before the kangaroo turns around and mounts another attack.

The Roo escapes the first punch and the fighters go head to head, trading punches and uppercuts during the riot.

He approaches the animal to avoid further blows before grabbing it by the foot and dragging it to the ground.

The victim eventually pins the beast down, but takes a few beatings first.

It is not known whether he was seriously injured in the amazing brawl.

Roos are not typically combat ready, but there are undocumented attacks in the country when the animals feel threatened.

In September last year, The Mirror told how two men rescuing a kangaroo from a freezing river were offered a handshake by the animal in what appeared to be a thank you.

Rescuers were filmed in video lifting the kangaroo from the frigid waters of Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra, which was widely shared on social media.

The kangaroo initially seemed nervous as the two men approached, ducked low, and then jumped when the first man reached out to touch him.

However, it eventually allows them to lift it and is carried out of the water.

Holding the animal between them, the two men walked to the edge of the lake, where they then walked past the kangaroo until a third man was waiting on the sidewalk around the water.

In the background of the clip, he can be heard saying, “Aw, he thanks you.”

Responding to people’s comments, Julian said temperatures at the ACT were below freezing yesterday.

When asked by a user if kangaroos can swim, Julian replied, “I would say this one was tired and cold. But also difficult to climb out.

“But you can swim.”
