A Brit has been defeated after attempting to eat a 12,000 calorie Easter egg challenge.
Max Stanford, 34, attempted to eat 21 Easter eggs in under an hour but only made it to 15 before giving up.
The charity worker still managed to eat his way through 9,518 calories in 58 minutes, though he eventually succumbed to chocolate nausea.
“I was really excited when I started the challenge of trying all the different strains, especially since I haven’t had many of them since I was a kid,” said Max.
“As the challenge continued, I began to struggle with the taste of the dark chocolate.
“The accompanying candy bar or pouch was really helpful for blending the flavors and texture, such as: Like the Daim bar or the smarties and mini eggs.”
After accepting the challenge as part of an Easter-themed series on his YouTube account, Max spent about a week preparing – having to go to three different supermarkets to get all the eggs he needed.

He said: “I wanted to get as many different flavors of my childhood favorites as possible like Freddos, Rolos, Smarties, cream eggs and milk bars!
“I had 12 different types of eggs – and then I had doubles of some, so I had 21 in total.
“I would definitely say my favorites were the Rolo, Milky Bar and the Daim Bar!
“These brought back a lot of fond childhood memories as I hadn’t had them in years.”
Halfway through the endeavor, Max started chewing on savory snacks to change the taste.
He said: “About 35 minutes after eating and eating about 12 eggs, I started struggling. At this point I had some corn chips to mix the flavor and have something salty.
“That helped me reach egg number 15, but only just within an hour.”
Max accepted the challenge as part of his Easter-themed challenge series on his YouTube channel.
He said: “I really like taking on themed challenges, like Easter, Christmas or Halloween.
“As a kid, I used to get this type of Easter egg that came with a candy bar or a bag of chocolate, but I think the most I’ve ever gotten was about six.
“It took me a few weeks to eat them back then, but now that I’m doing food challenges as a hobby, I thought it would be really fun to see how many I could eat in one sitting.”
After his loss, Max said he “didn’t feel too bad” but had a huge sugar rush.
“It definitely took me some time to fall asleep later that night,” he said.
“My goal next year is to do this challenge again and turn 20.”
