Man hospitalized after attack in Chichester city centre
A man has been arrested after a man was taken to hospital following an attack in a city centre.
Police were called to Market Road, Chichester last night after reports said a man suffered a ‘cut’ to the head.
A 23-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of aggravated assault and remains in custody.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment and later discharged.
A cordon was erected around the crime scene.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, which took place around 6.10pm last night, is urged to report it to the police online or by calling 911 quoting the serial number 945 of September 12.
