Man hospitalized after attack in Hastings city centre

A man was taken to hospital with injuries including a broken eye socket after an unprovoked attack in broad daylight in a city center.

The 24-year-old man was being approached by an unidentified man at the junction of Robertson Street and Cambridge Road in Hastings when he was attacked.

After reporting the attack to police, he was taken to hospital, where it was confirmed he had sustained injuries, including a broken eye socket.

Police are asking all witnesses to the attack, which took place between 12:30pm and 2:00pm on November 3, to come forward.

Officials specifically want to hear from an elderly woman who may have seen what happened.
