Man injured in daylight in supermarket car park

Gardaí are at the scene of an alleged shooting that took place in a supermarket car park in north Dublin tonight.
The male victim is understood to have sustained non-life threatening wounds to his leg in the exchange of fire, which took place around 5pm in a supermarket car park on St Margaret’s Road, Finglas.
The victim is believed to be in his early 20s and originally from Co Louth.
“Indications indicate he was shot in the lower leg,” a source said.
Gardaí remain at the scene and no arrests have been made.
The scene was preserved for a technical investigation.
In a statement, the force said: “Gardaí is currently at the scene of what is believed to be a shootout at St Margaret’s Road, Finglas, Dublin 11.
“A man in his 20s is reported to have sustained non-life-threatening injuries.”
