Man Utd and Liverpool ‘cool transfer interest in Denis Zakaria with Juventus and Roma favorites to sign Bundesliga chief’

MANCHESTER UNITED and Liverpool are said to be pulling out of the scramble to sign Denis Zakaria.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils have spoken to the Borussia Monchengladbach star’s agent but are unlikely to make an offer.
And the timing is clearly wrong for the Reds, who are reluctant to make the move this January transfer window.
Bayern Munich and Arsenal have also been linked with the Bundesliga star.
And Spanish giants Barcelona are also said to be monitoring the situation.
The 25-year-old midfielder has entered the final six months of his contract and is not ready to consider staying at Monchengladbach when his contract expires.
Reports last week showed that United provided Zakaria a contract and would rather pay a fee this month than wait until the summer.
But German champions Bayern are now the favorites to secure his signature as a replacement for the out-of-contract Corentin Tolisso.

The midfielder’s current contract status means he is likely to be available for around £7m.
Zakaria joined Borussia Monchengladbach in 2017 and has made more than 100 appearances in total.
This season, he has made 17 appearances, scoring twice and earning one assist.
