Manchester United will likely be able to call on Cristiano Ronaldo’s services next season as reports say he is determined to end his contract at Old Trafford and play under the next permanent manager.

Who that person will be remains to be seen Chelsea Boss Thomas Tuchel has spoken out about reports leading him to fill the vacant position at United amid the ongoing uncertainty at Stamford Bridge. Tuchel spoke ahead of Chelsea’s weekend game against Middlesbrough FA Cup and it wasn’t the first time he had spoken about his future in west London.

Unless Tuchel is the next manager, Robbie Savage believes his former club will have to follow rivals Liverpool’s blueprint and hire their own version of Jurgen Klopp.

Ronaldo’s future

Manchester United have come out with the news that this talisman has received a boost Cristiano Ronaldo will not seek exit in the summer even if the club fails to qualify for UEFA Champions League next season.

Ronaldo returned to the club at the end of the summer transfer window in what was seen as the missing piece of the puzzle as United looked to turn last season’s second-place finish into one First League trophy a year later. However, the team has struggled to keep up with pacesetters Man City and Liverpool and are now desperately hoping to finish in the top four.

Rumors have surfaced that a season without participating in Europe’s premier cup competition would mean the end of Ronaldo’s United career, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.

Tuchel gives job update

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has said he loves working at Chelsea amid speculation that he could be the next manager at Manchester United.

The future of the blues is currently in turmoil after previous owner Roman Abramovich was sanctioned by the UK government and forced to cede control. With the club themselves being sanctioned, they are unable to sign players or offer new contracts to players and staff, which has led to reports United could steal the German from west London.

But Tuchel has shown that he is happy where he is and that “we have many reasons to stay”.

Ever since Sir Alex Ferguson left in 2003, Manchester United have had to sit back and watch their rivals overtake them in success both on and off the pitch.

One such club is Liverpool, who have gone from strength to strength since Jurgen Klopp took over in 2015. His arrival has seen the club win the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup and this season the Carabao Cup – theirs. Success in the League Cup puts them on course for a quadruple this season.

And Robbie Savage believes United need to follow Liverpool’s recipe for success and find their own Klopp.
