Kane is entering the final two years of his contract with Spurs and with that, it could be Daniel Levy’s last chance to land a £100million or more fee for the 28-year-old. The striker has been urged for a move before the start of this season and if Tottenham are not safe Champions League Football for next season – which looks likely – then it wouldn’t come as a huge shock to Kane to do so again.

United’s midfield has been the bane of their troubles for several seasons and both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Rangnick flagged the position as one to invest. The Hammers’ vice-captain has been linked to Chelsea for a number of years, but the Blues’ sanctions mean he won’t be moving to Stamford Bridge any time soon. Rice would be a great investment from United but the Glazers would certainly benefit from the move in the long run given Rice is only 23 years old.
