The Dutchman recently handed the Ajax Player of the Season to Jurrien Timber, who has been linked with the Red Devils in the past, while also being tasked with plotting Man Utd’s rebuild around two England internationals.

New Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag may already have found the perfect solution to the Red Devils’ leaky defense for next season, which is currently the sixth-worst in the Premier League this season.

Ten Hag have just won the Eredivisie title with Ajax and during the celebrations awarded Jurrien Timber player of the year who has in fact already been linked with a move to United, with speculation running high after Ten Hag was named as Manager.

The 20-year-old has been in fine form for Ajax this season and hence the Dutch manager said that awarding Timber as player of the season was a no-brainer, as reported by Voetbal International Manchester evening news .

Man Utd squad rebuild should focus on two new signings

Manchester United are reportedly keen to sign Ajax winger Antony this summer, who could join the Red Devils alongside Erik ten Hag should the club make an offer and it has now been revealed that the Eredivisie champions already found a replacement.

Corresponding Voetbal Primeur Ajax have now identified Nice winger Calvin Stengs, 22, as a backup should he move on and this has greatly increased United’s chances of landing the winger in the coming months.
