Manchester United have endured a nightmare campaign, failed to complete the five-year wait for silver and face the prospect of Europa Conference League football next season.
The Red Devils are currently sixth in the table and will fall into Europe’s tertiary competition if seventh-placed West Ham win their last two Premier League games. But as they say, there’s always next season. Erik ten Hag will succeed interim boss Ralf Rangnick and is determined to finally bring success to United fans and mend their ailing squad.
To do this, the Dutchman has to buy and sell players on the transfer market. It promises to be a busy window into the Ten Hag and United hierarchy. Here are the latest transfer rumors from Old Trafford.

According to Portuguese outlet O Jogo, Diogo Dalot is part of Erik ten Hag’s plans for next year.
The 23-year-old, who joined the club in the summer of 2018, has finally broken into the United squad this season – he has made 29 appearances in all competitions. He has become the primary right-back under Ralf Rangnick, edging out Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the starting XI.
Ten Hag is expected to follow in Rangnick’s footsteps by continuing to believe in Dalot. His ability to play both full-back roles and offensive attributes is said to have impressed the new boss. Dalot has developed into a senior Portugal international over the past two years, impressing during a loan spell at AC Milan last season.

Who should Manchester United sign this summer? Let us know in the comments below!
Newcastle are reportedly close to signing United target Hugo Ekitike, according to 90min.
The Red Devils are believed to have been keeping an eye on the 19-year-old forward, who has scored 10 goals for Reims in all competitions this season, for some time. Ekitike has represented France at U20 level and has been linked with Manchester City, Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund.
However, it seems Newcastle will bring United to his signature. Manager Eddie Howe is said to have included Ekitike in his transfer shortlist in December and talks between Toon and Reims have been ongoing ever since. Ekitike is believed to be keen on moving to St James’ Park and appreciates Howe’s belief in his abilities.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Paul Pogba’s representatives will be in Turin on Monday to discuss a potential move to Juventus.
The midfielder’s contract expires next month and few expect him to sign an extension at Old Trafford. Salary is believed to be the biggest sticking point while Paris Saint-Germain are also in talks with Pogba’s team. The world champion will not make a controversial move to local rivals Manchester City.
Pogba experienced the most successful period of his club career at Juventus, winning four Serie A titles, two Italian Cups and two Italian Super Cups. His second spell at Old Trafford didn’t go as planned, only winning the EFL Cup and Europa League.
