CRISTIANO Ronaldo’s sister, Elma Aveiro, has announced that her CR7 clothing store in Madeira is closing.
The mother of one child admits it was a difficult decision to make after running the store, named after her. Manchester United star, in the island’s capital Funchal for 15 years.
Elma, one of Cristiano’s three siblings, hinted the decision had something to do with her busy schedule.
But it’s not the first store Ronaldo and his family closed in recent years.
Last year, they called time at a restaurant in Madeira, and the CR7 clothing store in Vilamoura on the Algarve closed in 2020 after lower-than-expected sales.
That leaves the CR7 store in Madeira the sole survivor, for now.
Ronaldo, 36, has another store in Lisbon’s National Parks neighborhood, which also closed a few years ago.
Reports at the time in Portugal said it attracted a lot of fans but many left after watching a round without buying anything.

Cristiano’s sister announced that she would be closing the shop on social media, along with a video of her returning to the CR7 store vacated by Elma in Funchal.
She said above Instagram: “Large projects are underway, investing a lot of time, energy and family affection.
“Since there is not enough time for everything and life consists of stages, I decided to close a chapter of my life after 15 years.
“It was not an easy decision because this is where my region began with so many memories and moments that will be forever etched on a page that I will keep in my heart.
“A reference point for so many people, a point that thousands of people want to pass by when they visit our beautiful island of Madeira.
“With all my might, I send you a huge thank you.”
Cristiano posed with Elma and other relatives, including his other sister, Katia Aveiro, of Brazil, two years ago to show off his sculpted muscles in a personalized lingerie set sold at the store.
In December 2018, the store moved from its previous address to a shopping mall called Marina Shopping, near the CR7 Museum – run by Cristiano Hugo’s brother in conjunction with the 4-star Pestana CR7 Funchal hotel. .
As Open a hotel with Pestana Group and expanding his fortunes empire with shopping in Spain and Portugal in recent years, Cristiano has moved into the hair transplant and gym business.
