UK-based management company ie:music, which represents the likes of Robbie Williams and Passenger, launched ie:entertainment.
That said: Entertainment is described as a multi-genre production and talent management company “dedicated to the creation, production and distribution of scripted and unscripted content across TV, film and digital formats”.
ie:entertainment is led by executives Lucy Pullin, Co-Founder and Creative Director, and Tim Clark, Co-Founder and Chair, with Nina Parnaby as COO.
The company’s launch in March 2022 followed ie:music’s recent collaboration with director Tara Films for the documentary film Shuhada Sadaqat, also known as artist Sinead O’Connor Nothing compares.
The documentary premiered at Sundance 2022 before being acquired by show time for a cinema and television release in autumn 2022.
ie: Entertainment is the newest arm of the expanding company.
Elsewhere, ie:music launched its own investment arm in 2020, ie:ventures.
The company’s first investment was music production app Endlesss.FM, which closed a “big” round of funding in 2019.
The company has received investment from a number of high profile executives including Mathew Daniel (VP International, NetEase Cloud Music), Dhiraj Mukherjee (Co-Founder, Shazam), Richard Jones (Manager, Pixies) and others.
