In July last year, Ubisoft and Nintendo revealed Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope – a sequel to the tactical turn-based Switch release of 2017 Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle.

Last we heard the game was slated for a 2022 release, and it seems it’s still on track. The French company’s latest earnings report mentions Sparks of Hope in the statement for the current fiscal year ending March 31, 2023.

It will be released along with games like Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and skull bones as highlighted in the official report (via Stephen Totilo from Axios):

“For 2022-23 we are targeting a return to significant revenue growth. It is primarily powered by a diverse selection of premium games including Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora™, Mario + Rabbids®: Sparks of Hope and Skull & Bones® , among other exciting titles. This growth will also benefit from our free-to-play releases, particularly those based on our largest IPs.”

In somewhat related news, Ubisoft has also announced that it will be bringing its China-exclusive Rabbids game to the West.
