One of the strangest side effects Mark experienced were “strange dreams, strange visions … and recurring hallucinations”.
Describing some of the things he had seen, the musician recounted: “Sometimes I had to drive miles to deliver drugs to someone in another city, or dismantle a stolen car after midnight to sell parts.
“Sometimes I’ll box potatoes on a pallet in a spud factory… or binge-eat a pancake and egg breakfast in a crowded restaurant after drinking and spinning all night.
“One night I dreamed that I was living in a large basement apartment with no windows apart from a long, wet Seattle rainstorm with a few ex-girlfriends and my ex-wives, many of whom were they hate me in real life, it all gets along well. , and I feel peace come to me. “

Mark – who has been open about his past drug abuse – also detailed being given an “incredibly inadequate” amount of the drug.
“Perhaps it was because I had administered myself elephant-sized doses over and over again for years,” he lamented.
“For me, it’s second nature to eat candy-like treats… I never thought there might come a time when I’d legally need some.
“Anything in this goddamn carriage I’ve come across, it’s no joke. I’ve shared about well-deserved ass kicks over the years, but this thing is trying to destroy me, body and mind, and I can’t see the end of it in sight. “
The coma caused his kidneys to fail causing him to need dialysis. The doctors were sure he would die, but somehow he made it through.
“They told my wife that I held the record for longest stay in this condition to survive at this institution,” he wrote.
During his career, Mark was also the frontman for the band Screaming Trees and collaborated with musicians such as Kurt Cobain, Moby and PJ Harvey.
Most recently, he worked with the Manic Street Preachers on their latest album The Ultra Vivid Lament.
