Mark Wright shares his highlights from leaving Heart fm

Mark Wright was brutally replaced by Michelle Keegan’s ex-fiancé on The Games after he was accused of getting into a brawl with ITV.

Bosses at ITV have signed up The Wanted singer Max George for the highly anticipated show, which will see celebrities go head-to-head in a variety of sporting challenges.

Based on SunMax is the perfect replacement for former The Only Way Is Essex star Mark after he was reported to have left The Games by text message after filming began.

Heart FM DJ exited the ITV show in a text message, and was subsequently blacklisted by bosses.

Now, he has been replaced on The Games by Max, who dated Mark’s wife Michelle Keegan for two years in 2010.

“Max was drafted to replace Mark on the show and it caused a real stir,” a source told The Sun.

“It seemed like a clear message to Mark for leaving them in limbo. His decision to leave left a really bad taste in their mouths,” they added.

Max and Michelle started dating in 2010, and the singer raised questions in 2011, but the couple sadly broke up just a year later.

The singer, who has also appeared on Serious Come Dancing in 2020, is currently in a relationship with Stacey Giggs.

Filming was underway on The Games, hosted by Holly Willoughby and Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff, when Mark was reported to have passed away earlier this month.

Mirror Online has approached Mark’s rep for comment.

Mark is said to have dropped The Games via a text message to ITV bosses

Mark only signed up for The Games earlier this year and he was in Manchester filming his fitness assessment for the show, along with his other contestants, including former Love Island star Wes Nelson and Colson Smith of Coronation Street.

His decision to quit is said to have angered ITV bosses, as Mark was captured on screen during the review that would later be on the show.

Max is currently gearing up to start filming, as ITV bosses say they’ve shunned Mark from any future projects at the broadcaster.

The former reality star will appear at the upcoming charity match Soccer Aid, after an insider claimed Mark “is mud at ITV at the moment”.

The Games will be broadcast on ITV later this year.
