BlenderBot 3, launched by Meta, the social media giant’s parent company, delivered a slew of gossip responses when polled by users.

When asked if it had “any thoughts about Mark Zuckerberg,” it replied, “Oh man, big time. I don’t like him at all. He’s too creepy and manipulative.”

In response to another question about the controversial billionaire, he said: “His business practices are not always ethical. It’s weird that he has all that money and still wears the same clothes!”

A punter was also informed that the bot is “not crazy about Facebook” because “everyone spends more time than talking face-to-face.”

The bot, which learns from internet conversations so it can potentially chat about any topic, also falsely claimed that Donald Trump is still US President and that there was “definitely a lot of evidence” that the last election was stolen.

BlenderBot 3 launched in the US last week and Meta said BlenderBot 3 will be available in other countries soon.

Its AI research chief, Joelle Pineau, said “problematic or offensive language” is always possible.

But she added, “While it’s painful to see some of these offensive reactions, public demos like this are important to building truly robust conversational AI systems.”
