MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) – Jorge Alfaro, the pinch-hitter hitter drove in the first leg with a brace in the 10th inning, and the Miami Marlins clinched a four-game losing streak with a 3-1 win over Washington Nationals on Wednesday night.
Designated athlete Lewis Brinson placed third after Sandy Leon’s sacrifice to open the 10th inning. Jon Berti led Brad Hand (5-3), and Alfaro put the Hand’s first throw into the wall on the left. to score a brace, scoring for Brinson. Miguel Flores’ sacrificial flight made it 3-1.
Dylan Floro (3-4) threw two innings without scoring to win, and Yimi Garcia scored the 10th for his 14th save.
Andrew Stevenson had an RBI double for Washington, bringing their three-game winning streak to a halt.
Washington’s starting player, Erick Fedde, who dropped six runs in a third of the round against the Padres on Friday, allowed a run to fail four hits in six innings.
The Marlins had a chance against Fedde right in the fourth inning, but he put Joe Panik on the doubles field, with a running point. Sandy Leon confirmed.
The Marlins called back right-hand man Nick Neidert from Triple-A Jacksonville to start in place of Sandy Alcantara, who was on the missing list.
Neidert allows three hits in five rounds and is supported by three doubles.
The Marlins chose Monte Harrison to Jacksonville.

National team: Patrick Corbin Film Festival (6-8, 5.56) faces the Orioles for the second time this season on Friday, when the national team visits Baltimore. He allowed four runs on 11 shots in five-thirds of the win on May 23. He was 1-2, 5.06 in five games against Baltimore.
