NetEase is planning to release Martial arts MMORPG Justice online in many new regions in Q4 2022. The game is based on traditional martial arts and Jianghu, martial arts community, this time in an MMORPG space.
The game launched in China and received a significant update around the Lunar New Year. The game features up to nine explorable areas with more than 2,400 square kilometers in explorable distances on the map. The most recent update released several new mounts that will help players on that ride, including the ability to battle, tame, and ride some new mounts including a giant spider. Going forward, the game is also being updated and NetEase is making it playable through cloud gaming. This is available with the current release in China, but with a planned release in the West and a multi-region launch and localization, we should suspect that the game is ultimately based on web cloud will also appear.
Developer NetEase is planning multiple major updates for the game, according to a press release announcing plans for a Western and international launch later this year. The Q4 release will be the biggest of the bunch, but new content will continue to be added throughout the year. As the localization begins to take hold and the global release approaches, we’ll be able to see the current level of updates during the initial launch in the West.
While some MMO tried martial arts fight or install inspired men past, Justice online trying to be more assertive in its inspiration and a mix of MMO mechanics and explorable worlds and environments, customization, and of course a story based on martial arts, love, passion, and rich lore inspired by and based on the popular wuxia novel titled Four Famous Secrets – Justice Online.
