Good morning, United fans
Ralf Rangnick and Bruno Fernandes smoke after Manchester United took a 2-0 lead in a 2-2 draw against Aston Villa.
Fernandes twice punished Villa’s fatal mistakes but home debutant Philippe Coutinho scored an assist and a goal in a brilliant late game.
That leaves the Reds still in seventh, with interim coach Rangnick admitting that it is ‘very difficult to find positivity’.
He told Sky Sports: “I felt it was the best game since I got here, for 30 minutes of the first half we dominated.
“When you go 2-0 up, you have to defend better than we did in the last 15 minutes. We gave away too many balls.
“Honestly, it’s like a failure.”
And the two-goal midfielder Fernandes is even more blunt.
He told Sky: “I’m not happy at all, obviously everyone is happy to score but I prefer to win.
“I would rather take my two goals away and have someone else score and win the game than score the goal myself.
“But today doesn’t mean anything because we only got one point and we want to get three.”
Meanwhile, Deportivo Alaves is said to be preparing to end his loan spell of Uruguayan winger Facundo Pellistri from Man United soon.
