The Line of Duty actor joins Spooks’ Rupert Penry-Jones and Downton Abbey’s Tuppence Middleton for new ITV series Our House – but fans had problems watching the first season

Some ITV viewers were left empty-handed during the first episode of the TV series Our House, starring Martin Compston, on Monday night.
ITV viewers took to Twitter to complain that the broadcast had been aired during the first episode of the new horror series, which saw the Line of Duty actor play the man of the series. Bram Lawson family.
The series, which also stars Downton Abbey’s Tuppence Middleton, premiered on Monday nights at 9pm, but as soon as it aired, many viewers complained they were missing out on the action because ITV had “discontinued” work”.
One person wrote: “Somehow my ITV was down for five minutes in Our House so trying to figure out what I missed!”
Another fan tweeted: “Martin Compston says he has no idea what happened… Well neither did we when the ITV signal disappeared!!”
“Missed the last 20 minutes of it because there was no broadcast!” a fellow viewer complained.
Another said: “Bet people are watching Our House on +1 right now to see what happened when ITV went down. One night, of course, new drama started on ITV and football on ITV4. ”
Another viewer watching the sport wrote: “Anyone else whose ITV 4 just crashed? Want to watch football! ”
One Martin Compston fan provided a recap of what fans of the film missed in the first few minutes, writing: “For those that ITV have failed, Our House go 50 Sheds Of Gray ,” alluding to the main couple, played by Martin and Tuppence, sharing a steamy night.
The four-part film sees Martin and Tuppence play husband and wife Bram and Fiona Lawson when the latter returns home to find strangers moving into her family home.
Fiona’s character is shocked to see that all her family possessions have disappeared and her beloved husband Brad is nowhere to be seen.
An ITV statement said of the series: “With her life broken, she realizes the secrets and lies are just beginning.
“Weaving the present with flashbacks to Fiona and Bram’s shared life, their separation, and their new relationship with Toby and Wendy, Our House gradually unravels its secrets. surprises and shocking revelations, culminating in a smashing finale.”
This comes as Scottish actor Martin says he’s fed up with roles alongside stars much taller than him, as he’s 5ft 8in tall but plays alongside towering Spooks actor Rupert Penry Jones .
Martin has previously joked that the height difference was the only problem working with Rupert, saying: “My only problem is he’s too tall.
“It seems that any actor who plays a character that I resent and have to fight on on set is always taller than six feet two.”
