James Gunn and Jennifer Holland look to be getting married after the director shared a sweet snap of his partner wearing a giant rock on her wedding finger

Director James Gunn asked longtime partner Jennifer Holland the question – and the actress answered yes.

The Marvel and DC filmmaker, 55, has been dating the Peacemaker star, 34, since 2015 and the pair are now ready to spend the rest of their lives together.

Taken to Instagramthe Guardians of the Galaxy the director simply shared a winking emoji and a red hearing emoji along with a snap of the blonde beauty and her giant rock, but some of his friends Celebrities sent congratulatory messages.

Among those spewing out in the comments was Karen Gillan, the Guardians of the Galaxy star.

The actress who played Nebula in the hit movie said: “OMG!!!!!!!!!” along with some heart-eye emojis and a red heart emoji”, while Guardians actress Molly Quinn wrote: “MY HEART stands out from JOY. “

Author Elan Gale comments: ” Woooooooooo!!!!!,” as well as a bunch of emojis with love heart eyes.

Crazy Rich Asians star Nico Santos also wrote: “DATE”, while How To Get Away with Murder’s Viola Davis penned: “Aaaaaaaahhh!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!”

Earlier, Jennifer posted a happy photo of the couple to her own account from what appeared to be a walk in the countryside.

However, she hid her ring finger as she captioned the photo: “Happy,” along with a rainbow emoji and a love heart emoji.

James just commented on the post with a love heart emoji of his own.

It is reported that James and Jennifer met through a mutual friend Michael Rosenbaum. At the time, the Small Town actor was dating one of Jennifer’s friends.

Since they started dating, James has used his partner for the role of Emilia Harcourt in The Suicide Squad, a character she reprized in the new series Peacemaker for HBO Max.

It would be James’ second marriage, previously married to Jenna Fisher of The Office. The couple were married from October 2000 to September 2007 before going their separate ways.

James recently teased fans of The Suicide Squad that he’s in the process of developing a second hit TV series following the success of Peacemaker.

“We’re doing something else now, another TV show connected to that universe,” he said, but could not divulge further details.
