Marvel is sending fans into a frenzy with a barrage of Phase Five superhero titles

Marvel Studios got superhero fans excited by releasing a slew of new blockbuster titles and returning favorites on Day 3 of San Diego Comic-Con.

Arvel boss Kevin Feige unveiled the films and shows that would bring the franchise’s fourth phase to a close, and laid down phase five in a “mega panel” on Saturday.

Announced films included Guardians Of The Galaxy 3, Captain America: New World Order and Ant-Man: Quantumania.

The panel kicked off with an emotional sizzle reel that featured clips from Spider-Man, WandaVision, She-Hulk, Ms Marvel and more.

The voice of the late comic book legend Stan Lee was heard saying, “Marvel was and always will be a reflection of the world right outside our window.”

“I’m incredibly excited, we were here three years ago and a hell of a lot of time has passed since then,” said Feige.

“There were moments when I thought, ‘Will I ever be in Hall H again, and the answer is, thank God, yes.’

Also announced was the original series She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, which will air August 17 on Disney+.

Feige said that the She-Hulk series signals the nearing end of the fourth phase and that it would conclude with the highly anticipated Black Panther sequel on November 11, 2022.

The third part of the Ant-Man franchise will kick off the fifth phase in February 2023.

A trailer for the film showed Scott Lang, played by Paul Rudd, reading his book Look out for the Little Guy.

The clip also features Lang’s daughter Cassie being drawn into the Quantum Realm and the ensuing rescue mission, with an appearance by actor Bill Murray.

It has also been confirmed that Ant-Man villains Kang and MODOK will star in the film.

When Rudd appeared on stage with his peers, he said his character was very pleased with himself for previously saving the world.

Guardian director James Gunn also took the stage to share a new trailer for the third film and to tell fans that this is the “end” of the story for the characters.

The emotional trailer featured scenes including Gamora as the leader of the Ravagers, new super suits and a muscular Groot.

Will Poulter also appeared as the golden Adam Warlock teased in the second Guardians film and later joined the cast on stage.

Feige also announced that a fourth Captain America film, titled Captain America: New World Order, will be part of Phase Five and is slated for release on May 3, 2024.

Anthony Mackie will return to reprise his role as Sam Wilson, who officially became Captain America at the end of the Disney+ show The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

No other casting details were shared.

Other titles coming as part of Phase 5 include Secret Invasion, which is expected in Spring 2023.

Echo and the second season of Loki, starring Tom Hiddleston, are scheduled for summer 2023.

The new movies Blade and Ironheart are slated for release late next year.

Agatha, a spin-off based on the events of WandaVision, is slated for release on Disney+ in winter 2023/2024.

A Daredevil series titled Daredevil Born Again and set for Spring 2024.

The phase will culminate on July 26, 2024 with Thunderbolts.

Feige also announced that Phase Six would begin on November 8, 2024, beginning with Fantastic Four.

He added that it would end up with two Avengers movies towards the end of 2025: Avengers: Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secrets Wars.
