Retail guru Mary Portas has made a massive about-face, urging people to stop buying new clothes to save the planet.
The woman, who built her career on flogging fashion – and rose to fame on TV show Mary Queen of Shops – has even urged designer fanatic Kim Kardashian to support secondhand shopping.
Mary, 61, says she was inspired by a young generation passionate about saving the world’s resources.
She said, “How can we use this? One of the great things would be if the Kim Kardashians would stand up to the world and say, “Don’t buy anything new.” That would fucking help.”
