After seven weeks of culinary challenges and an exhilarating final cookout, creating outstanding plates of food along the way, Eddie was awarded the MasterChef trophy by judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace.

Of his win, Eddie, 31, said: “That’s all. I feel like my whole life has built up to this point. I can’t believe I’m standing here as the winner. MasterChef champion. Eddie’s love of cooking stems from a family of passionate foodies – from his mother’s baking skills, to his father’s experimental dishes and his grandparents’ perfection with classic Punjabi – it all. inspired him to learn more in the kitchen.

“All of our best memories are cooking together, traveling and eating together,” he said of his family.

Looking to the future after his MasterChef win, Eddie said: “Everything in my life has been built to do something in food. It’s amazing to be able to cook in a top restaurant and with the most famous royal Awadhi chef in Lucknow.

“It would be fun to write about food or even do some more TV. What I really enjoy is owning a restaurant of my own – sharing my memories and nostalgia about my food.

“I always knew I wanted to pursue a career in food one day, and now MasterChef has made me realize that this can happen.”
