Matrix Reloaded’s iconic Agent Smith battle reimagined in Sifu

While we won’t have a brand new Matrix video game soon, you should be able to feel like you’re playing it. A fan-made mod for Sifu has appeared online where players can fight as Neo from The Matrix Reloaded.

At Nexus Mods, a user named Halfmillz created a skin mod that replaces the player with Mr. Anderson, aka Neo, from The Matrix Reloaded. In this mod, Neo is wearing The One’s famous costume, complete with realistic fabric physics. This particular mod replaces the male player character.

In addition, the mod pack also transforms all enemies to look like the main antagonist of the Matrix series, Agent Smith. There’s also a shade mod that gives the game its signature Matrix blue color, as well as a new Matrix battle sound effects mod. User KangieDanie is working on a mod that will change the user interface of Sifu to reflect the UI of the Matrix font.

The latest entry in the series is The Matrix Resurrections. IGN’s Amelia Emberwing said, “The Matrix Resurrections is the kind of movie that will go down in hit history because it’s ridiculously bad.”

In IGN’s review of Sifu, Mitchell Saltzman said, “Sifu demands a lot from you, and it’s a sword that cuts both ways. Its combat is impeccable, with incredibly smooth animations and richness. The impact, deep combat mechanics, and challenging enemies really leave you fighting tooth and nail for every victory.”
