Matt Gaetz slammed for offensive looks from women who support abortion rights

The phrase “Rapey McForehead” trended on Twitter over the weekend after controversial MP Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., criticized the physical appearance of abortion rights advocates.

On Saturday, Gaetz spoke at the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit in Tampa, where he claimed abortion rights advocates were unattractive.

“Did you see those pro-abortion and pro-homicide rallies?” Gaetz told the crowd of students. “People are just disgusting. Why are the women least likely to get pregnant the most afraid of abortion?”

The video of the comments surfaced online shortly thereafter and have since been viewed over 4.4 million times.

“Nobody wants to get you pregnant if you look like a thumb. These people are hated inside and out,” Gaetz continued. “They’re about 5ft 2, 350 pounds, and they’re like, ‘Give me my abortions or I’ll get up and march and protest.'”

In 2020, the Justice Department launched an investigation into Gaetz for sex trafficking.

Gaetz, 40, was accused of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl for money. The House of Representatives Ethics Committee is also investigating Gaetz.

In his comments on Saturday, he suggested that abortion rights advocates should focus on exercising.

“Some of them have to get up and march — they have to get up and march about an hour a day. Swing your arms, get the blood pumping, maybe mix in a salad,” he said.

On Sunday, Gaetz’s name and “Rapey McForehead” trended on Twitter, with users slamming his earlier comments.

“How did we get to a point where people in office can talk so openly to women? #women we have to fight together to stop this. #Florida needs to know that things can’t go on like this. Our #daughters need to know that they should never be addressed like that. @mattgaetz #rapeymcforehead”, a user posted. Matt Gaetz slammed for offensive looks from women who support abortion rights
