Matthew McConaughey has denied a doctor’s claim that he gave the star a hair transplant.
The Hollywood actor, 52, went on to say that his significant hair regrowth was due to a particular serum he still uses to this day.
However, that claim is something that one doctor disputed, saying he provided the star with a new hairstyle thanks to a hair transplant.
In his latest memoir titled Greenlights, Matthew admits that he started shaving his head in the late 1990s when thinning hair became extremely noticeable.
However, speaking to LADbible, the star said: “How did it grow back? It’s a big mystery.”
He testified that he applied “topical ointment” to his scalp once a day to help his hair grow back.
He continued: “I was totally committed, I was completely committed to it – no Propecia, nothing at all, it was just manual labor.
“All I can tell you is it’s back. I have more hair now than I did in 1999.”

When his locks grew back, there was much debate about whether he paid a premium to make them look thick again.
The actor opened up when he was told how a doctor used his before and after photos to convince people his offer of a hair transplant was legit.
But when another doctor asked the star about the procedure, Matthew said he let the doctor “feel and see”.
He continued: “Can I just look at your hair? I can feel it and see it. I said, “Yeah, man,” he continued, “You don’t have implants. ‘ I said, ‘That’s what I said, of course I don’t.
The doctor then emotionally confessed that he “couldn’t wait” to contact his colleague and called him about his “lies”.
And when asked if he plans to stop using his special serum, Matthew said: “I’m not going to quit to see if, like, ‘Oh, do I need to do that again?’ I didn’t take that chance.”
The actor recently revealed that he is ready to return to the Magic Mike series after missing the second season of the series.

He told Channing Tatum to give him a call so the pair could reunite on the big screen.
When asked if he would be involved, he confessed to Variety: “I don’t know. I have to read [the script] Firstly. It was fun doing the first part. “
