Maura Higgins has attacked online trolls accusing her of being ‘too skinny’ and warning that she would never change her appearance to appease ‘random people’ online.
But as well as the perks of quick fame, there are downsides too – and reality stars are often quickly targeted by online trolls who mock their looks.
Maura said she suffered a lot of abuse online about her appearance, saying she was targeted for her slim body – and arguing that people wouldn’t target others for being overweight.

Opening with Fabulous magazine, she explained: “I’ve always talked to my mum about it and asked, ‘Why do people turn to look at your face and say, ‘God, you’re so skinny’ ? Have you ever said to someone: ‘God, you’re so fat’? No, you won’t. ”
Despite regularly receiving abuse from people online, Maura says the negative comments don’t let her down.
She explains: “I don’t need a boob job, because I feel sexy for the size of my breasts. I won’t take one that matches what a random person tells me. “

She continued, somewhat diplomatically, to add: “[Though] if it will help someone else feel more confident [to have surgery], then work away. Either way, I’ll be petrified for the boob surgery. I watch it [E!] The Botched Anytime, Anywhere TV Show annoys me. “
Maura went on to suggest that she has turned away from cosmetic procedures to enhance her look, saying that she has dropped her lip filler injection habit.
“I haven’t done my lips in two years,” she said. I’ve gotten over it now – maybe because I’m older. I don’t need help with my confidence. I don’t feel like [big] Breasts make you feel sexy. I think confidence comes from within.”
Elsewhere in her interview, Maura hinted that she’s still looking for love – after finding fame through her mate hunt on Love Island.
However, she also teased that she is hoping to keep her future relationships more discreet and unnoticed following her famous love affairs with Curtis Pritchard, Chris Taylor and Giovanni Pernice.
However, reports earlier this month linked the reality blast to Universal Radio host and former I’m Celebrity contestant Roman Kemp.

The pair are said to have ‘grown close’ while attending musician Tom Grennan’s Brit Awards party.
A source told The Sun the day after the bash: “Everybody talks about how Maura and Roman flirt while bashing.
“They danced together and laughed so much, they seemed glued to each other all night.”
