McDonald’s is giving away breakfast and lunch for just 99p for just one day

The US burger chain is slashing prices on regular McMuffins and their quarter-pounders with cheese to less than £1 on Monday as part of its popular weekly specials

McDonald’s will slash the prices of two of its fan favorites to just 99p tomorrow.

The chain’s regular McMuffin is discounted from £2.29 during the breakfast window, with hungry Brits having until 11am to take their orders.

Once lunchtime is around the quarter-pounder with cheese, which burger fans normally set back around £3.39, it also costs less than £1.

The budget-friendly deals are part of McDonald’s weekly Monday deal and are only available until the end of breakfast or midnight.

It comes as fast food fans got excited when they learned they could get £1,000 for eating McDonald’s, Greggs and Subway.

UK based marketplace website MaterialsMarket.com is looking for a team of six “takeaway testers” to come up with the best fast food options for artisans – and to pay them for their efforts.

As well as receiving £1,000 for taking part in the month-long role, every meal the successful applicants eat as part of the experiment will be paid for.

You will taste one of the top 20 most popular dishes, previously voted by traders from a range of fast food restaurants across the UK for lunch or dinner.

Throughout the employment period, the successful candidate must keep a journal of how they feel after eating each meal, and their fullness, energy, productivity, sluggishness, and overall happiness immediately after eating the meal, as well as two and four hours monitor afterwards.

The full analysis will be used to create a guide of best meals on the go for its community of professional and hobby farmers.

Samuel Hunt, co-founder of MaterialsMarket.com said, “If you go to your local Greggs or McDonald’s early in the morning or around lunchtime, you will most likely see handymen getting their fuel for the day.

“Although fast food has negative connotations, these handyman meals are convenient fuel! Handyman jobs physically put you to work and therefore burn a lot of calories, so a substantial meal is a necessity to keep you full. Satisfied and full of energy through the working day.

“We are very excited to start this experiment. As we will be working with a nutritionist on the results, we look forward to sharing the best ‘fast food’ meals to eat at work with our community. Don’t mind getting paid to test some of the UK’s most popular fast food restaurants, please apply now!”
