Meek Mill Parts Ways With Roc Nation Management – Billboard

Meek Mill has parted ways with Roc Nation Management, sources say Billboards.

Mill, who first signed with Roc in 2012 under a management agreement, no longer appears on the company’s website and has been removed from their social media pages. In 2019, Meek struck a joint venture agreement with Roc for his signature Dreamchasers, where he became president. After being incarcerated in 2018, Meek also teamed up with Jay-Z the following year and founded the Coalition for Reform – a nonprofit founded to eliminate unjust sentencing laws in the United States.

Earlier this year, Meek expressed frustration with his record company Atlantic Records after hitting #3 on the Billboard 200 with his latest album, Expensive pain. “They don’t put too much emphasis on the cost and then say I can’t quit another project for 9 months at the end of my contract after I made 100 million for them… .. how can anyone survive which… most rappers can’t say because they depend on these companies “I don’t,” he tweeted.

He warned the label for not allowing him to release music of his own accord and for disturbing his relationship with Roddy Ricch. “Look at how I made Atlantic 100 million and let them rape me Roddy, an artist they put me in jail… they kept saying I couldn’t quit until 9 months after the last album. Mine is blackened by buildings and Nina is artistic with talent. ”

He continued, “My young Roddy…. But that label ripped us apart in an instant when millions of people came from him… the same thing they tried to do with me and rozay… also took a long time to catch up because most of them were stick with the love of some money… the artist is scared Speak loudly.”

Representatives for Roc Nation and Meek Mill did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Meek Mill Parts Ways With Roc Nation Management – Billboard
