How did you come up with the idea for the company?
I started my career as a sales development representative at a small startup. I was really fascinated by the work that the engineers sitting around me had to do. Watching them build breakthrough technologies made me realize just how important technology can be.
I became very curious about what and how they built, their ability to create something from nothing to solve big problems. This experience had a significant impact on me as I witnessed the power of technology and its impact on the world. It pushed me to change what I brought to the world and ultimately led me to co-found Clari.
I saw how machine learning and AI can transform enterprise software, which made me see an opportunity for a new company. I’ve seen that while revenue is arguably the most important business process for any company, it’s the last to be digitally transformed. I wanted to change that and now the world has Clari.

How has the company performed during the pandemic?
Clari became even more strategic for revenue teams during the pandemic as transparency and control over the revenue process became essential. The transparency and rigor of a modern revenue operations approach enabled Clari customers to quickly adjust their go-to-market strategies to respond to changing market conditions.
During the pandemic, we saw record usage and engagement with our platform as revenue teams established more accountability and discipline across their various channels. The virtual retail environment is not going away and I expect usage will continue to grow exponentially as we adapt to the new business normal.
What can we expect from Clari in the future? Any major British or European plans?
The past year has been a truly remarkable period of growth for Clari, unlike anything I have experienced since we started the company nine years ago. We raised two rounds of funding in less than 12 months totaling $375 million and increased our valuation to $2.6 billion. We also acquired our first company in 2021 and will use the proceeds from our recent investment round to advance our acquisition strategy.
At the same time, in the last year we have more than doubled the size of the team worldwide to over 500 and plan to hire another 300 people in 2022. Specifically for the UK and Europe, we plan to double this team over the next year as we continue our international growth.
