Sprout.ai (Sprout) is a fast-growing technology company that is already transforming the claims process for customers of major insurers around the world, including Zurich.
What problem does Sprout.ai solve?
Sprout’s technology is able to understand claims data as well as information contained in insurance policies and what they cover in order to match the two and settle claims in record time: from several months to several days.
This has enabled us to be the first to deliver a seamless, automated, end-to-end solution from receipt of a claim to final settlement.
For insurers, Sprout enables true end-to-end claims automation, resulting in improved efficiencies and reduced costs. For its clients, Sprout completely transforms the claims experience, enabling clear, accurate results and providing a much faster and less stressful experience at a time when they are most vulnerable. This mission is at the heart of everything Sprout does.
Why did you decide to join Sprout?
Sprout is on a rapid growth trajectory having developed world-class technology in a market area with tremendous potential. The opportunity to lead the team at Sprout was too good to pass up!
In my previous role at Manageable – another AI software provider for the insurance industry – I gained a lot of knowledge about the insurance market, the challenges and the many inefficiencies in the industry. Sprout solves insurance market inefficiencies in a unique and sustainable way that others have not been able to by automating the claims process. I admire what the team has achieved in such a short time. Sprout’s technology has tremendous potential to transform the insurance industry, and I wanted to be a part of that change.
The opportunity to lead the company was very exciting and a step up for me. Together with the rest of the team, we will steer Sprout in the right direction, to the next stage of his growth journey.

Can you tell us something about your career so far? Do you have special highlights?
I started my software engineering training while serving in the Israeli military, where I also started training software engineers myself. After nearly seven years in the Army, I transitioned into the private sector—a medical imaging startup called Algotec, which was later acquired by Kodak. This was my first experience in a fast growing startup and it was exciting! After Algotec, I gained experience in a mix of technical and commercial roles.
I moved to the UK in 2013 to lead the integration of a recently acquired startup into NICE systems. This required a lot of operational knowledge and I learned a lot about leading a team throughout the lifecycle of a business.
My next role at Zift Solutions, where I worked for over 4 years, was a great transition from tech to business. As Chief Customer Officer, I led a global team spread across the world, from Romania to Australia and Silicon Valley. I managed the after-sales work and professional services. It offered a holistic view of how businesses function.
My last role before joining Sprout was Vice President of Engineering at Tractable, where I managed a team of around 75 people. While I was there, the company grew rapidly and secured coveted unicorn status. Being part of this growth journey has been incredible and a testament to what is possible in the world of technology and in particular in the Insurtech space.
What are your plans and ambitions for the coming year at Sprout?
My goal as CEO is to grow Sprout and help it reach its full potential. We want to firmly establish ourselves as the global market leader in claims automation.
In the near term, I want us to continue to improve Sprout’s technology and enable insurers to reduce the time it takes to process the health insurance claims cycle from weeks to hours.
Sprout has a significant competitive advantage over other vendors in its OCR capabilities in certain languages, including Japanese. It’s extremely difficult for the AI to decipher Japanese kanji, which Sprout’s OCR does more accurately than other vendors. Leveraging these OCR capabilities in claims automation will make Sprout the top choice for insurers in Japan and beyond.
