Megan Thee Stallion has given her first television interview, covering an incident in 2020 that alleges fellow rapper Tory Lanez shot her in the foot.
The actress, 27, – real name Megan Pete – discussed the incident in an interview with Gayle King, 67 CBS News – which is scheduled to air tomorrow.
She has accused Daystar Peterson, 29 – better known by his stage name Tory Lanez – of shooting her in the foot, although he is said to have denied the allegation against him.
The alleged violence is said to have taken place after the couple and a friend of his left a house party in the Hollywood Hills, with Pete saying there was an argument about leaving.
In a clip from the interview, she says they argued in the car because she “was ready,” but her companions didn’t feel that way. Pete described it as “normal friends stuff”.
During the interview, she claimed that she herself “never asked [her] Hands on nobody” nor has she “raised [her] Voice too loud,” adding that it shouldn’t have escalated like this.
She subsequently claimed the disagreement turned violent after she got out of the car and claimed she was shot at – with her statement that “everything’s happening so far”.

Pete claimed: “All I hear is that man screaming. And he said, ‘Dance, b****.’ And he started shooting. And I just thought, ‘Oh my God.’ He shot a couple of times.”
Broadcast journalist King asked if he was shooting out of the car, and Pete replied, “He’s over the window and he’s shooting. And I didn’t even want to move.”
The interviewee said she was afraid of making “the wrong move,” adding, “I don’t know if he could shoot and kill me.” She commented that she felt “really divided” during the incident.
CBS News reports that the Los Angeles County Attorney’s Office has charged Peterson with assault and weapons possession in connection with the 2020 shooting of Pete.
It said the case is expected to go to trial in September this year, with Peterson reportedly having pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Der Spiegel asked representatives from Peterson for comment, as well as the Los Angeles County Attorney’s Office.
